✈️ Not Sure What to Pack for Your Yachting Adventure?
Let me help you avoid the mistakes I made…
When I first left Australia to find my first job on yachts, I completely underestimated what to pack. I brought no winter clothes 🤦🏻♀️ because I assumed I’d land a job and be chasing endless summers around the world.
What I didn’t realise?
To save you from the same packing regrets, I’ve created a GO-TO Yacht Crew Travel Packing List you can download below. From essential basics to easy-to-forget extras—it covers it all.

• Skip the hard suitcase. Space is tight onboard. Opt for a soft top suitcase—mine’s from Eastpak and it folds flat, fits anywhere, and has lasted years of travel.
• Noise-cancelling headphones. Essential for blocking out anchor chains, engine hums, or noisy roommates. I’ve had my Bose pair for almost 6 years and they are still going strong.
• Photos from home. Just a few printed pics make your cabin feel a little more you.
• Hard copies of all certificates. Non-negotiable. Also save a digital copy on a USB or email them to yourself so you can easily share them with captains or crew agents.
After 6+ years working on superyachts, I’m now helping green crew kickstart their own yachting adventures.
I’ll give you the no-fluff, step-by-step guide to landing your first job and becoming a standout stewardess from day one.
